I’ve mentioned this a few times on Instagram already because I genuinely cannot stop using it. Every few days I’m ordering something small on my phone and getting $10 back for it. It’s a limited time deal that I’m going to severely miss when it’s gone!
Here’s what’s actually going on. Banks and credit unions offer a new checkout tool called Paze, it’s a digital wallet, kind of like Apple Pay but built by the banks themselves, and right now Paze is running a promo: spend $10 or more in a single purchase at a participating merchant using Paze checkout, and you get $10 back as a statement credit. You can do this up to 10 times per eligible card, so up to $100 back, per card, and if you have more than one eligible card in your Paze wallet, each one gets its own $100. The offer runs now through September 10, 2026.
I asked my Instagram followers if they were using their Paze credits yet, and honestly the poll results didn’t surprise me: 41% said yes, 26% hadn’t tried it yet, and 33% said “what is Paze?” So if you’re in that last group, you’re in good company, and that’s exactly why I wanted to break this down.
How to activate Paze
You’ll need to activate Paze before any of this works, and the good news is it takes about two minutes.
Open your bank or credit union’s app and tap on one of your cards.
Look for something like “Manage account.”
From there, find “Digital Wallets.”
Select “Paze.”
Tap “Link to Paze” for each card you want to add, then confirm with “Yes, link my card to Paze.”
The exact wording moves around a little depending on your bank, but it’s almost always tucked into the card management or digital wallets section. If you can’t find it in your app, you can also activate directly at mywallet.paze.com. Paze works with cards from a long list of banks and credit unions, including Bank of America, Capital One, Chase, Citi, PNC, Truist, US Bank, and Wells Fargo, so there’s a good chance at least one of your cards already qualifies.
Where I’ve actually used it
So far I’ve used Paze at Dunkin’, Wendy’s, Domino’s, and Sephora, and the full list of participating merchants keeps growing.
For Dunkin’, add at least $10 worth of food to your cart in the app, then switch your payment method to Paze at checkout. The credit should up on your card statement a few days later (although the fine print states that it can take up to 2 billing cycles to credit).
For Sephora, this only works on Sephora.com, not the app, so keep that in mind. I’ve been using it to stock up on travel-size toiletries in the $10 range, and shipping is free as long as you have a free Sephora account.
A friend messaged me after one of my stories asking, “Wait, so as long as I have Paze as my payment on my card, I can do 10 different transactions and choose Paze at checkout and get it credited back?” Yes, exactly, and it has to be 10 separate transactions, not one big $100 order. That’s essentially $100 per eligible card, and if you’re like our family, with a handful of eligible cards between us, that adds up fast.
I’ll be honest, I got a little too into this. I now have a handwritten tracking sheet with card numbers and running tallies of every Paze purchase, purely so I don’t accidentally go over 10 transactions on any one card. It is not a sophisticated system but it works!
A few things worth knowing
Not every merchant or purchase type qualifies, even ones that technically accept Paze. Categories like gambling, pharmacies, gift cards, and a handful of others are excluded, so before you check out, look for the offer banner next to your card in the Paze wallet. If you don’t see it, the purchase likely won’t count.
There’s also no enrollment required beyond activating your wallet, no fee to use Paze at all, and credits typically post within two billing cycles of your purchase.

Add that credit to the CSP 10x points for Paze purchases and it has become a nice little points generator on our weekly pizza purchase. Clever marketing plan to introduce this new method.
